Sample Sale Report: Vena Cava & DanniJo

 

The Vena Cava & DanniJo Sample sale isn’t open to the public until tomorrow morning, but I had the chance to run through and snap some pictures of what you can expect tomorrow am.  The sale sprawls out over 3 relatively small rooms with a good assortment of merch in each.

Everything seems to be separated by type of item but there are not more a dozen of any given style.  Most items at the sale however were either stand alones or in groups of 2 or 3. Sizes appeared to be on the smaller end of the spectrum for most part.

The accessory selection was small and bags are $150 a pop while shoes are $100.  Most of the shoes are in the size 38 category with a few 37-40 thrown in the mix.  Some shoes are from Vena Cava’s collaborations with TenOverSix and Converse but there are a few Via Spiga and other shoes thrown in the mix.  Multi colored suede pouchettes in autumnal hues are just $10 a pop.

Prices are pretty straightforward and posted on the wall by type of item:

While nothing tops $200, I would go for the separates, with skirts at just $50, you can snag a printed maxi skirt and max out bang for your buck.  You can also find a small bin of samples with graphic printed tank dresses in size S-XS for $20 and stock pieces from the Uniqlo collaboration in this bin.  There are also some belts for just $10 with my fave being the striped elastic option.

As for the DanniJo portion of the sale you could snag a super cute printed iPad case for $75. Medieval looking bracelets for $78, Bold Pendant necklace for $78, One of a kind/Vintage Beaded Necklaces for $98.  They also had Neha bags for $168 and bins of items that are from the more recent collection with prices as ticketed.  For one of my fave signature looking necklaces it was marked $228.

There was also a small selection of random vintage/inspirational pieces in the back that included a vintage Anne Denuellmeister piece for $150 to an embroidered baby top for $10. Ps. I spotted some Contempo Casuals in the mix
